Me and my mouth. I was agitated on how obama and biden are viewing and plans on gun control. So, I went to the White House link and wrote obama a letter. No, I did not threaten anyone. I wanted him to know what the opinion was of a lot of people on gun control and the powers of the government and their responsibilities. Yeah, I know, should have kept my mouth shut because now I am worried.
That brings up a different thing, and it actually makes me feel better for some odd reason.
If I have to worry about censoring what I say or do because I am scared of the government, then there is a real problem not an imaginary one.
That tells me that we do need change, but we need changes in our government to begin with. No American should have to fear what they say concerning the government or it's "elected" officials.
After listening to all the talking heads about gun control, I suddenly realized they all miss the same point, or they ignore it. Even Fox News misses this point.
Our rights are guaranteed by the Constitution and Bill of Rights, not by our "leaders". Those documents are there to limit government, not to award rights or priviledges. The government has no rights at all, except what is outlined in these documents. No one discusses that obama cannot bypass the Constitution and "adjust" the 2nd amendment.
